ABOUT DARYL
Daryl Moniz is ready to bring practical experience, thoughtful leadership and a strong local voice to Chilliwack City Council.
A Fraser Valley native, Daryl has proudly called Chilliwack home for 25 years. He is running for Council because he cares deeply about the future of the community and wants to serve the city that has given so much to him and his family.
As a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather, Chilliwack is much more than where he lives, it is where he and his family have built their life, formed lasting friendships and become part of the community. He values the welcoming neighborhoods, local businesses, outdoor spaces and sense of connection that make Chilliwack such a special place to call home.
Before entering real estate in 2016, Daryl built a successful career in logistics, including serving as Director of Operations for a leading logistics company. This experience strengthened his ability to manage complex issues, work within budgets, find practical solutions and bring people together to achieve results.
Today, Daryl is an experienced residential and commercial real estate professional. His work has given him firsthand insight into the opportunities and challenges facing Chilliwack, from housing and development to infrastructure, local business and the pressures that come with a growing community.
Daryl has a strong record of community and industry leadership. He has served on several local boards, including the Board of Directors for Chilliwack School of Performing Arts, and currently serves on the City of Chilliwack’s Design Review Advisory Committee, contributing to discussions about the design and development of our growing city.
He has also served as President of the Chilliwack and District Real Estate Board and remains a Director sitting as Commercial Division Chair, participated in government relations and earned his Real Estate Board Governance designation, RSG.D.
Together, these roles have given Daryl valuable experience in municipal processes, governance, advocacy, strategic planning and responsible decision-making.
